Jungle Art Project
We used the picture (centered) as a guide to make our parrots. The kids had free choice of colors they wanted to use. They were instructed to tear the construction paper using only their pincher fingers which is great for little one's fine motor skills and strengthening those muscles as they get ready to write!
Popcorn Bulletin Board
Another easy one because all you have to switch out are the upcoming events
Special Snack during Ocean Unit
goldfish, celery stalk, and pineapple tidbits
Paper Mache Monarch Caterpillars
Recipe: flour and water...mix until it forms a paste... refrigerate in between uses...we used long balloons for the mold.
I pulled up a picture onto the screen for them to follow as they painted their caterpillars. We talked about the black, yellow, white pattern...Here is a finished caterpillar...
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
Instead of having to change my bulletin board for every holiday, I created this board to go along with my classroom theme. When I get my new class list, I will write each student's name on the pink squares, and clothespin different art projects throughout the year. Easy Peasy.
